i'm getting some color on my cephs (from TP) after i've shifted them out to full sun, together with my vfts. i'll post some pics at a later date. i *think* getting colors like those can be done. but long term survivability is another issue.

Hongrui, My suggestion is to keep the Cephs in full sun during our cooler months and keep them shaded during hot months.

Hongrui,
Keep any eye on the newest forming pitchers i.e. those little knobs at the end of each shoot. If they are red, the pitcher produced would be red if sufficient light is maintained.
Recently, I changed the florescent lights to newer ones and the older pitchers started to have patches of red and all the "knobs" produced are red. Hopefully I'll get uniformly red pitchers soon...the old ones with red patches looked diseased. LOL

hehe okay okay, these are the red 'knobs' that i was referring to earlier. but the pitcher developed from these were green. most probably due to the lack of sun during the rainy season. this is my current best looking pot of cephs. Cindy, this is my medium from the first order to SC.

here is my ceph baby....... currently getting direct morning sun from 8 -10:30a.m. & all the rain mother nature chooses to release...one leaf is slightly burnt i know but the plant itself seems to be ok. cindy : the smaller one didn`t make it i`m afraid. i gave it the same conditions but less sun & rain as it was smaller.

Tarence, I can see that your ceph has produced a few offshoots. It looks really happy with your conditions. Well, keep it where it is happy and it will grow and grow and grow for you. Well, some make it and some don't. You don't want to know how many of them died in my hands.

Hongrui, do the pitchers look as pale green as they do in the pics? How big is the largest pitcher? I am doing a comparison on our differing growing conditions and the effects on the colour and size of the pitchers.
How much light does your plants receive? I thought by now they should colour up more.

Cindy, the pitchers are actually a little greener than in the pics but by not much. the largest pitcher is about 1.5" tall.
they are in the open, full sun till 1pm, bright shade for the rest of day (i've moved them to my neps area). but i feel they've not been getting enough light to color up because it's been like raining every other day.
