This Sarra has grown so quickly, those shorter leaves are the initial leaves when I bought it, it has grown so many leaves in just less then two months. Love the colour. ;D

Love the vibrant colours TS. Is that a flower stalk growing out of the picture?

Yes, it has produced a seed pod right now. But I think still have to wait for months to have seeds.

TS: i think they`ll spread out more if a bigger pot was used...but yes, lovely colour. I`ll try to get a pic soon of the 3 version of s.purpureas i have.....quite interesting the subtle differences in the plants but i`m still lacking the all-green.... i try to trim off all the dead or dieing leaves so that airflow will be better to avoid aphids attack. i used to get them but usually only when the plants gets congested. i think aphids like moist, dark areas to thrive. there seems to be quite a few interesting new varieties of sarras in the market these days. David : pity they don`t do too well in your place....

Casey: Yes, I put it under direct sun light, no shade. Bifurcatum: No, as you can see at the old photo I posted earlier, it had already produced flower, months after that, It has grown so big clump and produced more flowers. Expose yours to more direct sun, it will reward you with that red colour. Tarence: Yes, I hate those aphids, after I got rid of those aphids, the plant grow so fast and showed the red colouration. My sarras attracted a lot of flies, I see many flies flying around and stop on the pitchers every day. Ya, I pity David, too... OK, the Purpurea from David....

Waaa... my ex "pet" so beautiful now. So happy for this fella. Lucky TS took over or else it would have died by now.
Amazing coloration on the plant in the third picture TS. Did not know Sarras can be so beautiful. Simply amazing. Another motivation factor for me to get a landed property.

Waaa... Tarence, your purpurea looked nice & healthy, are 2nd & 3rd same form? Love the last one, yellowish red, quite rare! I have the 2nd one too, now growing so red... or should I say maroon. I'll show you the picture.

The 2nd & 3rd a bit diff.....the 2nd`s hood is sharp & the plant itself is also more towards green ( i`m looking for the all green form) the 3rd`s hood is wavy & in full sunlite, the plant will be a gorgeous red. The 1st one is supposed to be a full red/almost purple from but it`s currently not getting enuff sun....not supposed to have yellow markings. heheh.

Here's the picture of the Sarra I mentioned. This is one of my favourite sarracenias I have. Another sarra, the flava (hybrid?) which is now about 18" tall, the lower pitchers are the newer batch of pitchers after I bought it. It has grown about double it's height! Look, twin sisters singing... haha...

TS : my 2nd pot of s.flava hybrid is otw to heaven now as we speak...i will give up on this sarra after this, very moody in my house. Yr favourite all red sarracenia is similiar to my 2nd pic post, mine used to be your sarra colour until i didn`t have enough space to give it full sun.....nice to know you can maintain the CP that way. I use high pot or the wall. Heheh. You use some metal support for the s.flava hybrid ?

Hehe Tarence, you saw it. Ya, I used some copper wire (which we normally use for bonsai) to make a support, the pitchers tend to fall/bend to the side as they grow taller and taller, especially after a heavy rain where pitchers are filled with rain water.
