That is S. purpurea, stevensii and the unknown hybrid. I bought them about 1 years ago at CH. Forgot nursery name. VFT and some of the Neps is also the same price.

Update on the growth of my psittacina. It had grown vigorously without any signs of dormancy since end of last year. Those VFTs beside it have already gone into dormancy few months ago, I have since repotted them to other pots and they are now came out of dormancy. But this one.... ??

Hi Bifurcatum, I think they are from different location. Yours is redder, mine appears to have green at the lower part of the pitchers. "Windows"? Do you mean the white dots on the pitchers?

Why both look different as they were from the same source? Lisham's look more like mine, I mean my psittacina, hehe

I think i can answer that since i`m the source...heheh.
i accidentally gave Law ( bifurcatum) my Giant psittacina whereas the one to Lisham is the normal sized one. I don`t sell the Giant one coz it`s rare to me but well, my mistake. That`s why it`s diff. U were lucky Law.......
Btw, 2 frens of mine who used to grow the smaller sized psittacina reported that it grew much bigger after they got the Giant from me & placed it nearby. Competition ? we never figured that one out but it happened all the same. The small one is at best, only about 1/3 the size of the Giant. It is compact & cuter tho.
Btw no.2......since i started injecting my psittacina with bloodworms juice ( TS, don`t pass out !)...they have grown even bigger & more vigorous. I use a pipet to do it.....

Oo... Ok.... Hmmm.... Tarence... any chance to get one of the giants in the near future? Want to give my normal psitacina a competitor to outgrow with.

i`ll let you know if there are any plantlets in the future Lisham....
btw, just for the record, i`m calling the bigger one `Giant` coz my original psittacinas before that were smallish. it`s not an official terminology.

My other half will go beserk to see those candy bar shaped frozen worms among chocs in my fridge... That'll make a nice conversation piece... Or more likely a quarrel topic for this week....
Ekekekeke....

Lisham, i`m not sure if the smaller psittacina`s can be fed via pipette coz the `entry points` are quite small. best to see the size of it then plan your pipette `attack`.
