Nice specimen of N. tiger. Pitchers are quite stout huh? David, I looking on web high and low. N. sanguinea orange, red, black, cameron, genting all type still didn't match to my nepenthe. Then I found one thailand website have the similiar pitcher like mine. they call it N. tiger. Well, I will waiting my plant show out another new pitcher for ID. My doubt on my pitcher size and peristome shape as sanguinea.

I am using Philip Compact Fluorescent 18 Watt Cool daylight Spiral Lamp with top reflector. Put it on wood rack with others included your D. spathulata ( it turn live after indoor light on)
Wondering where you all get big water tray.
Back to topic, i would like to know how you identify this is N. sanguinea? what is the trademark for N. sanguinea?

i use mainly gut feeling. but in my opinion the pitcher shape, the hip of the pitcher, the slight peristome and the angle of the pitcher mouth points it towards N. sanguinea / sanguinea hybrid. this picture and this picture from borneo exotics' website looks pretty similar to your pitcher.

not likely. if your particular plant is the squat form, then it will always remain squat and you will not get the more elongated pitchers from that plant.

Please help me to ID this pitcher. Was searching for eye candies and came across this pic. Is it the same? this is N. Spatulata. This is from the wikipedia page.

i'd say it depends on where Eric obtained his plants from. the only source of N. spathulata i know of is BE.
if he had purchased his plant from a nursery in M'sia, it is more likely to be N. sanguinea or a sanguinea hybrid rather than N. spathulata. if he bought it in thailand, it then could be N. thorelii or N. smilesii or N. 'Tiger' or a hybrid of them. unless he bought it in Indonesia, then it could possibly be N. adrainii or even N. spathulata.
the ribs and teeth on N. spathulata looks pretty distinctive in the wiki picture though, so it should be quite easy to identify if eric's unknown is really N. spathulata.
