Just like David ;D ;D ;D, I have too many favourites. Here's 2 of my favourites, there's another kuchingensis which didn't have nice pitchers to show so you'll have to wait a while for them. First one, red speckled amp with sexy red lips. This plant is showing good genetics because the pitchers are big compared to the actual plant size. Picture of the sexy lips taken with flash (poor in photography). Picture of dark red vampire bical (taken with flash which didn't do justice to the dark red) Bicals and Amps are here to stay!!!!!! Note: Plants grown with a mix of sphagnum/peat, perlite, clay soil.

I find your soil mix, very interesting. I have used clay only in areas where plants get a lot of run off moisture.

Nice big amp and bical. Yaa, interesting media you use. Is it sand + orange soil + clay? And you grow this in your condo? How you do it?

Let me clarify what I mean by "clay soil". This is actually some red orange coloured soil (could be laterite) that I took from Kledang hill where neps are thriving in. I'm trying the latest batch of neps with bottom layer spagnum moss then perlite mixed with Horti decomposed spagnum/peat moss (introduced to me by Naj) then topped with "clay soil" from G. Kledang. I hang these pots on the grill sliding door in the balcony. I water them using spray bottle morning and night. Bigger plants are grown on the balcony floor with bigger pots and on a wooden table for my shade loving neps.

I like amps and they always get my attention especially Sexy lips!! Some plants I'm using burnt clay soil from nursery mixed with sphagnum, lately I'm using "clay soil" from kledang. Basically it's "Rojak" medium. Rgds, Isaac
