I have seen spanish moss grown as a huge curtain in the kampung areas. Very interesting. A live curtain. I mostly put it around my house to compliment my other airplants. It also gives the garden a semi-festive winter kind of look. Folks who have a breezy ( not windy ! ) garden can give this till a try.
