Dear members, Just throwing out a question to see the sizes of albomarginata out there in the lowland condition. Have you seen something close to this size in lowland? Mine has just pitchered after a long wait and it's 3/4 of my palm size in length. This is grown on my balcony. I noticed the albo sold in nurseries does not usually grow bigger than 2" pitchers. I'm suspecting that the lowland adaptability of some variant is why mine is still throwing out big pitchers. I might be wrong because my narrow view of what is out there. Help me understand this. Thanks. Rgds, Isaac

Isaac, I thought it will depend on how old the plant is? And also the leaf:pitcher ratio.
How long are the leaves on your plant?

It hiding from me until I was doing some clearing of old leaves. Actually I stumbled across this when I talked to Fauzi at the Floria event. The plants at the nurseries looks big too but rarely exceeds 2-3". Cindy, you have a few plants of albo too right? what is the biggest size of albo pitcher that you had? Rgds, Isaac

Isaac, my plant is MT's Kuching spotted. It has two main vines. One is 6" tall and the other is 12 feet long.
Btw, your pitcher is 6" with or without the lid? How long are the leaves?

Went back and check, the new pitcher is about 4"+ without lid(still growing) and it's the red maroon form. In the wild, I observed that the biggest I've seen is about 6" or slightly more. The leaves are about 7" already but does not vine yet.
