My garden is a bloody mess actually.......heheh. The CPs etc were once was featured in `Haven` magazine, which is from the Edge....but when we grow CPs, we can`t really think about landscaping or a garden design. Basically I just `throw` the CPs where ever there is max sun.

Oo~ In a magazine~ Gives me an idea, perhaps once the forum grows and has enough active members we could make a monthly newsletter. I enjoy doing stuff like that anyway and since I'll be studying at the one academy it's kind of right up my alley. Then we could feature a grower every month ;D Haha I know rather ambitious but I like thinking big.

P.redleyii was from sg buloh...and also from this morn` market dealer who sells plants from his truck. I got small ones for rm30, the bigger ones rm55...only 1 surviving now. P.holttumii was from a sg buloh main road nursery. they thot it was the common variety & sold it to me for rm20. You can`t really see it coz it`s stuck between 2 branches of the tree. I wanted it to grow AROUND the branches but the silly fella decided to stick in between so it`s partially crushed. Hopefully it`ll re-arrange itself soon.

Since P.Bifurcatum was my 1st plant, now the plant had died cause they will invite alot of insects, esp ants. And it gav me alot of pups, the whole plants looks like a big green ball.

But it`s an easy stag to grow. My frens even leave it to grow wild on a tree branch without watering for months & it still produces pups & lives.....where did you grow yours ?

Ooooo, that`s plant murder. next time, you can use malathion to kill the ants. The plants will survive. Mebbe your exisiting plant saw the murder & refuses to bring in any more pups into this cruel world. heheh.
Joke aside, mebbe it`s still young...mine took about 2 years to have pups. some are faster.

Or place CPs all around your staghorn... hmm.. wait, might not work as it will attarct more ants, haaa, haa, haaa...
Malathion as suggested by Tarence would be better.
But if you can convince your parents to have the ants there, you can place your CPs beside the stag whenever yo0u want to feed yoru CPs.

Haha, CPs gotta do double duty as staghorn bodyguards.
Their 1st duty is to amaze & fascinate us.

Placing a few neps around the staghorns should eat most of the ants ;D

Tarence,
nice collection of CPs and stuffs you have there. I too have a tiny stag horn that I bought from the ahpek recommended by David in Ipoh, Menglembu.
Went inside everything also $$$, very expensive especially the nicer ones but he really got the biggest collection of stag horns that I have ever seen. He kept asking me to take the bifurcatum which he said is for beginner. In the end I took P. panama(don't ask me I really have no idea what this is) which now looks like a few piece of leaves sticking out of somewhere. Regret now, should have taken bifur lah, at least got horns to look at.
