Went back to Muar, Johor for the "Qing Ming festival" last weekend. Found N.gracilis growing everywhere at the road side near the graveyard. Here are some pictures to share. An old road from Muar town to Ayer Hitam. Very open area at the road side. A fry resting on it before falling into the trap. Bugs mating ...saw it? Very moist at the early morning. As you can see lot of mists staying on the leaves and pitchers. Growing in a small bunch under direct sun light.

I realised in alot of locations gracilis grows under direct sun all day without any ill effects. The hotter and brigher it is the more beautiful they are. The soil do seem quite dry too just like the site I saw on a rocky hill. Such an amanzing nep! I think it has very strong will to survive and it is a tough species.
Haa, haa... can see the insect mating but can't make out what species they are. They're on the lid of the pitcher at the back right?
Hey, show more picture laa...
