Most of the ampullaria ptichers are growing near the root or the main stem. In the next destination we found N. x hookeriana, which is N rafflesiana and N.ampullaria (spotted) hybrid. We spent 5 mins to take picture and leave that place. Because of too hot... Really can't stand the heat and the sun shine. N.rafflesiana plant N.x hookeriana (upper pitcher) blooming... N.x hookeriana

Hey Dom, Let me know if you are making any trip to look for fishes etc. I would like to tag along and look for CPs. Actually this is an impoartant site you've found as a few accounts have mentioned that N. rafflesiana could not be found in the Northern states of Peninsular Malaysia. However, you found it there.

Hi David, That was found by Pisces actually. His eyes just like the CP scanner. I am passing by that place for more than 10 times. Never see it.

That's another trait that i noticed a few other CPers mentioned, that Nepenthes in the wild actually camouflage themselves quite well. I can imagine how good he is looking for Neps in the wild. He live and breaths CPs, haa, haa, haa...
