Dear Nep growers, Help me ID these. I know the picture quality is crap, cuz I took them off my friend's printed photo. Unknown1 (Notice the wide peristome?) Unknown2 (mac?) Thanks. Rgds, Isaac

Let me give it a shot, although I'm not so good at identifying neps. The first one looks like N. spatulata and the second one looks like the upper pitchers of N. macfarlanei.

David, Yes, the first nep does look like spathulata, but according to articles, spathulata is found in Sumatra. Does it occur in Peninsula Malaysia? Interesting. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nepenthes_spathulata2nd nep should be a Mac. Thanks. Rgds, Isaac

Maybe instead of a spatulata, it could be a green form of ramispina. However, the lower part of the pitcher looks a little bulbous to be ramispina... hmm, maybe not. Maybe it's just ramispina after all
