This thread is really cool. Makes my eyes pop up to see these wonderful ant plants.
Question, in cultivation, does the ant plant attract a lot of ants? If it does, then it's not very good for us to create an ant nest at our place right?

Isaac, i grow tuberosa and L.sinousa and so far the ants we found at home doesn't bother the plants. Perhaps (?) only the ants found in heath forest are attracted to them.

Hi Robert, In this picture you posted... Is the hanging green bulbose plant part an ant plant or is it part of an orchid? Thanks for these pictures Robert. Ant Plants has also become one of my favourite plants besides CPs. Nice to see them in the wild

Hi Robert, In this picture you posted... Is the hanging green bulbose plant part an ant plant or is it part of an orchid? Thanks for these pictures Robert. Ant Plants has also become one of my favourite plants besides CPs. Nice to see them in the wild David, they are terrestrial orchids and seem to enjoy growing together with ant plants. The bulbose structure are the seed pods.
