Thanks Prana for starting this thread. Here are some of mine. The reinward. that you have look likely to be lowland red form.My judgement may be wrong . U notice the lower body of the pitcher it has the red tinge. Expose to more bright light and the colour will slowly transformed to red. That was how i notice my reinward. behave. They are very red now. At first the colour is all green like yours. The all green never ever have the slightest red. The northiana now has 2 pitchers , though not as huge as in the wild. But with the similar colour i'm quite satisfied ;D mirabilis echinostoma x rafflesiana N.hookeriana khasiana from Mr.Suska N.albormarginata N.bauensis (gracilis x northiana) some variety of ampullaria brown peristome all red yellowish/green peristome N.kuchingensis basal pitchers of kuchingensis This was given in exchange with a Taiwanese neps addict. N.fusca according to him but Suska claimed to be faizaliana. with the present rainy cool weather , temp around 26°C it's developing well. But com ethe hot weater i don't kow where to hide. It's suposed to be H/L intermediate,i was told. repost-The frilled tendril rafflesiana has more young pitchers forming but i'm waiting for them to fully open. This was one of the pitcher 2 months ago. enjoy ;D

northiana need very very well drain medium. Not suitable to use are peat moss and long sphagnum moss as these are too moist for their roots. I use limestone 80%(approx) and coarse /rough brown earth(from nursery). I also water every 2 day or 3 day, grow under nursery shade. A friend of mine use 100% limestone , another use 80% limestone and peat moss ,All are growing and pitchering like mine. I can conclude northiana prefer moist, but very well drain medium . Medium that don't allow water to congregate to make it compact.

Nice plants guys.
But may I suggest for those guys intending to add new photos, please start a new thread. Say call the new thread Nep pics of the month Jan - prana, nep pics of the month - robert, etc. As it will take awlfully long to load if it is filled with pics during peak period.

Prana, thanks for starting this thread. Perhaps this could be a tradition at PetPitcher too. Love your clipeata. Hey guys, wanna do a group purchase with Wistuba? Gotto get myself one of those clipeatas... hmm, maybe two or three... haa, haa, haa... Robert, I love your northania. Thanks for the tip on the media. Besides the media, how about sunlight and humidity. I'm trying to see if I can provide the environment for them. Thinking of getting northania in the near future but am a little weary about growing them in my apartment. Hmm... perhaps I shall grow them in my parents new place in Taiping. The environment seems perfect. All my other neps seems to be growing very well and there's lots of ants for them to eat. There's a jungle behind the house. I guess they need lots of sun huh, since they grow in oprn areas on limestone clifs. Good suggestion Choong.

the northiana and other lowlanders were placed in the garden. open to the natural elements. I also provide nursery shade to filter off the very harsh midday sun.
As long as the medium is very well drain northiana can be kept even by the window, shaded but bright with indirect sunlight. That was what i found out from one of the ex-pat.

Ok Robert. I'll give it a go when there's an opportunity to buy a northiana.
