Hello ;D: My latest N. neoguineensis pitcher: it has been stretching for days and it still refuses to open its lid! Not quite as big as N. rajah but it could swallow whole dozens of tiny drosera: Size does matter ! There's something eerie about this pitcher, don't you think ? François.

François, are the pitchers of this species coloured like that mostly or it is just your plant?

Yes! Once in a while you see an unopened pitcher that is as spectacular as any mature one. I always liked this pitcher: It looked strong and tough even at this stage. It later opened up to this: Nepenthes ventricosa x (truncata x mindanaoensis) Very nice so far...be sure to post when it's open!

Hi all:
Very elegant pitchers indeed. I wonder how resistant this species is to highland conditions. I remember reading on another forum, a grower who'd managed to keep this plant alive in UK winter without heating. I'd also second Ludwig's last words!
Cheers,
Gus

Hello . Thanks for the kind words . François, are the pitchers of this species coloured like that mostly or it is just your plant? Cindy, I've heard of green plants but there are also many "brown" specimens in the wild. Augustin, I don't know if this species would cope well with highland conditions. Mine grows in full lowland conditions with a lof of light. Oh, just forgot: the pitcher has opened. It is now more than 20 cm long. François.
