Jeff, you don't have to envy me, you can do the same. Have you ever sent it into dormancy? It goes into dormancy once in a while.

Ts, what did you do when the VFT went into dormancy ? So far, I think my oldest is about 4 years old.....I started on VFTs mebbe six years ago, but the oldest plants have not survived until now....sad though. Sudah ada relationship, then mati pulak. heheh. But as you saw at my house the other day, they have produced many many babies.

Tarence, I didn't do much, just left the VFT in the shade, reduce watering, that's all, hehe. I know your feeling Tarence, I've too lose a lot of my VFTs, some are good forms. I think I should just try your "first generation, second generation thing" on my red VFT from Sg Buloh, yours getting redder right? I have written my growing experience under the "Dionaea Muscipula Article" section, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi TS, you certainly have a nice collection of cps. Really envy you lah. This vft is such a beauty. How many cultivars you have?
Do you also have cactus collection as your name implies? I'm also interested in planted tank but do not have any yet. The one you have is just amazing. Hope you can help me if I have the $$$ to set up one in the future.

Haha Holttumii,
I'm afraid you might be disappointed. I'm actually more into VFTs and Sarras, I do have some other forms of VFTs, most of them are pretty small. As for Sarras, I did have quite a numbers of forms but unfortunately all my sarras except the psittacina, died due to lacking of care, sigh!
I have some neps but if you compare mine with other collectors like David, Choong.....etc, I think I have to find a place to hide myself!
I did have a few cactus, but didn't take good care of them.
I didn't post any pictures on my planted tank, how do you know and quote my planted tank as "amazing", so far only David had seen my planted tank. Not really a good piece of work but I like the "feel" of the aquatic plants growing "naturally" in there. Of course if you are interested in setting up a planted tank, I'm willing to give you a hand, but don't forget there are many other members here like Lim, Issac, Ari...etc who are the real expert in planted tank and aquatic plants.
Off topic: How many forms of platys do you have? Love your holttumii.
Cheers TS

Pai seh, I don't really have many forms lah, most of them are categorised under "typicals" although some of them did show their own characteristic. Most are quite small, maybe I should say tiny instead, they don't really tell the difference right now except for those really different one like red dragon or dente, even the pink venus look quite similar to red dragon. I lost many plants after so many years of growing, and some experience is gained every time they die on me Wow, you have many platys, envy.

No need to pai seh, at least you have something that I don't. . I understand your feeling. I have also gone though the process of killing lots of plants. Indeed, we all have learnt something after all that `killing', sounds `cruel' and `horrible' hor. ;D

I am also guilty of that "sin". That's why I hope this forum will also help new growers so they, or shall I say the plant need not suffer and die unnecessarily.

Eh Jeff, same here laa. I've killed N. gracilis before ok. The tough and easy to grow N. gracilis.
Haa, haa... suddenly this is like a competition on who kills the most CPs.
