Let me know if any of you have these two species and if they are growing well for you. I find these two species are very particular about their environment.
Basically I think they're spoilt! Everything has to be perfect or they will not pitcher and growth will almost stop. I have a bical that I brought from my shadehouse in my hometown to my apartment. Because of the change in environment, it refuses to grow properly and did not give me any pitchers for over a year. After that its health starts to decline.
However, I have a bical (Sri Aman) that went back to normal growth only after a few months. It pitchered for me too.
There's also a rafflesiana x veitchii at one corner of my window. I waited paitiently for one and a half years before it starts to grow picthers. Very soon it was a huge plant and I just moved it to the other corner of the same window that received the same amount of sunlight and humidity. Guess what! The nut case stopped growing new leaves and picthers.

My bical had just produced a small pitcher since bought, not sure yet how big the pitcher can be. Will get it updated. My veitchii doesn't grow well, too. Pitchers are small and tend to dry up easily and give you the 'chow ta' look. Still thinking of ways to make it grow well.
