Yup that is indeed a flower… They flower after about 6days or so in my experience. You could cut them off as it can drain the plant's energy. But depending on whether you only have a male or female plant it will just be a pretty flower. Im pretty sure thats the case but you may want to wait a little to get some other opinions. The weblink I used is below: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus_fly_trap

So does that mean, my flowers will make seeds even if i havent "pollenated" it or something? In other words, how do i get my flower to make seeds?

You need a female and male plant to pollenate, I believe

You don't need two plants to pollinate the flower, I pollinate my plant (the only one flowering during that time) by just using a cotton bud to "tickle" the flowers from one to another, and I got seeds. Pretty simple.

Flowering a VFT will set it back. The degree depends on several factors: age of the plant, growing conditions and the amount of seeds formed. Some VFTs die after flowering so be prepared to lose the plant if you want seeds. Otherwise, like TS said, go ahead and pollinate. The flower has both male and female parts.

Unless you want to see the process from flower to seeds, other wise you may lose a plant after you get the seeds. The fastest way of getting a baby VFT is by division, leaf/bulb cutting. VFTs grown from seeds may take up at least three years to maturity. Anyway, hope you enjoy the process.

acidic055, a grower here once poked the cut flower stalk into the orginal media. Voila! A offshoot appeared a few weeks after that!
