Here's a picture of my P. primuliflora from piceslim. I have tried a few but they all died on me. Alas, these few finnaly survive in my growing conditions under artificial lights. However, I understand that some of you have more robust plants than me when you grow this fella outdoors. But I'm happy. At least these few did not die on me and there are dews on their leaves. There's another pot at the background with 3 plants. Don know why the smallest plant just died. The other 2 seems ok. (off topic: Tarence, that's your green VFT you gave me on the left.

hey David, my VFT looks good. my ping also looks like yours, same size & colour. it isn`t as robust as i`d thot it`ll get, no flowers like Zak`s tho.
is that your d.indica in the back of the ping ? heheh, dat skinny fella not toppling over ah ? mine kinda steadied themselves after a while. with the seeds i`m getting, not too worried about the plant itself.
btw, i thot your posting was something on Yahoo ! and didn`t read it. haha.

Wonder what are the conditions Zak grows his in. Zak! You here... Mind sharing your cultivation environment and routine please. For your p. primuliflora I mean. Thanks
Yupe! That's the indica at the background. It has toppled over. Almost all the leaves turning yellow. It is flowering now. i'm letting it. Will collect the seeds and start over with new plants. This fella don seem to be able to survive long.
Haa, haaa, maybe I should change from "yahoo" to "Oh Yaaa..." ... don sound very right too laa. Maybe should have just left that word out.

Actually mine started to do well when I did that, ie. s. moss as the media and soaking the pot permanantly in water. Of course cannot change the light intensity as I grow it under lights. The water level is a little less than 1 in deep and to prevent bacteria from growing on stagnant water and the s. moss (making it stink like rotten egg) I pump air into the water. Seems perfect. Actually all my sundews, vfts and pings are grown like that now. They seem to like it and I don have to water them one by one. So tiring, so many pots. Now I just pour water into the water tray.

mine is grown with 4-5 hours of morning sun... In Langkawi... So It's hot hot, the trick in helping it catch more insects is to turn on the balcony light late at night so the insects will gather and fall down onto my death rack (my cp rack la)....

Naj : same growing conditions here but i can`t seem to get flowers which is one of my requirements to gauge whether the CP is `successful` in my garden or not.
Lisham : nice.....my babies seem to be sluggish in growth. the first few came out like 4 months ago & they seem to take their own sweet time growing.

Lisham, that's alot of digested insect on your sundew. A cemetary of insect. Cute little baby pings you have there too. Listening to you guys, I think I'll place my Ping nearrer to the lightings. Curently they're about 6 inches from the lighting. Thinking of making it about 4 inches from the lighting. Thanks for sharing guys.

Btw David, i still clean my pots (which are in water trays ) individually once a week or twice if i`m feeling adventurous. it takes me about an hour to scrub the horrid algae off from each pot ( i doubt it`s good for CPs ) using a toothbrush and also to clean the trays. i`m talking about mebbe 62 pots ? heheh.
*i`ll make a good dishwasher if i have to do part time work*
lucky the neps are not in water trays too, if not, i might just give up.
rgds, tarence.

Tarence,
At the moment I only need to clean about 30 pots, half of yours. I do it once every 2 weeks during the weekends. I'm thinking of growing ultris in the water tray. Perhaps that would reduce the algae growth since the ultris would have taken up whatever nitrogen that is available in the water.
But my algae problem is not that bad as I use RO water.
