So I went to sungai buloh today and decided to buy some sarras from Hee nursery. The woman there is starting to warm up to me she was actually friendly haha. Can you guys help me ID these? And know if these will do ok under direct rain? They won't break or anything right?

They wont break! Wah Dude. You start to act like me. With the big space to play with. I bet your collection list will get more than me. Hahaha...
You got the same sarracenia like mine. The third one. Their colour is nice and tall growing!

Ah thanks. Haha well I don't think i'll own more than 20-25 plants. It'd start to get too hard to maintain. A guy on cpuk said the 1st one is s. purpurea venosa. The other 2 are hybrids.

In fact most of the time, sarracenia selling in nurseries, are hybrid. because of Clone like mad like N. xventrata. Cheaper that way. Pure breed is rare to come by, maybe they try to bring in and dead. The third one They have a nice white dots but later they will turn into red.

Yup that's it. I prefer pure breeds but I don't mind hybrids as long as they look nice hehe.

Haa, haa.. the CP bug has bitten you big time. ;D Zak, don't be too sure about 20-25 plants. I've got a strong feeling you'll exceed that figure. There's no turning back my friend. You're sentence to a life of "slavery"! "Slavery" to the beauty of your CPs, to the excitement of insect eating plants and to the cultivation of your beloved. You're "doom" to a life fun ;D and excitment! "Doom" for all eternity...

Haha well i'll have to see if I can resist the urge~ Maybe 30-35 But still I don't want too many hybrids. I have to find someone to give the extra sarra hybrids to.
