Hi nacheers, Just my 2-cents worth. Unless your plants come from the nurseries which grows their plants from tissue-culture, I think it will be quite hard to tell what variant they are. For example, N. ampullaria "red" could be red with red peristome, red with green peristome or even red with striped peristome. To me, a "variant" is determined by the seller. Malesiana Tropical sells N. gracilis 'black' but this clone can be very different from another dark form from another nursery. My experience with Nepenthes in the wild is very limited but I remember that every photo of M. rafflesiana I took, it is different from the previous one. The variety in rafflesiana is enormous. Nice plants though but as for id, I admit I am lost.
